The Company has assembled an experienced management team which consist of the OKCF family members:
Founder and Manager – Omasombo Katuka
Meet Omasombo Katuka (OK), the backbone and a pioneer of OKCF. Ever since his young married adult years, OK has remained tirelessly committed to not only to ensure his family safety and needs are met but, remain one of the most innovated, devoutly committed, and pioneering personnel in the farm world, fostering a nuanced conversation with different farmers and takes great pride in the relationships he has with the people who have become his mentors, guiding light, and inspiration.
Advisor and supervisor – Poya Ndjadi
Meet Poya, OK’s wife, businesswoman, devoted mother of seven children, and four grandchildren. Poya remains not only a mother and businesswoman, but a partner who has helped OK the pioneering leader in African agriculture that it is today. Poya has continued to supervise and advise OK on discovering innovative ways to become more sustainable while at the same time producing the highest quality ingredients possible. Poya is committed to rediscovering, saving, and telling the stories of the unique African products that are grown on the farm.
Marketing/Accounting – Ekoko Louise
Meet Ekoko, the second-daughter of Omasombo and Poya. Ekoko is an accounting major student at the University of Maine in Augusta (UMA). Ekoko is committed to supporting OKCF in all business planning including ordering farming supplies, networking with potential sponsors or clients, monitoring emails, and applying for grants/funds. Ekoko provides continuous support, trends, feedback and takes the role of an advisor to OKCF to ensure the organization is heading toward the right path.
Member – Dembo Orthens
Meet Dembo, the third-daughter of Omasombo and Poya. Dembo is an agricultural major student at Williston State College (WSC). Dembo is devoutly committed to helping Omasombo during the summer seasons with farming, planting, and harvesting. Dembo provides her expertise from her learning to OKCF and ways to farm safely and productively. In return, Dembo acquires knowledge, and inspiration about farming in the U.S. from Omasombo.
Member – Esther Eseka
Meet Esther, the fourth-daughter of Omasombo and Poya. Esther is a graduate from Central Maine Community College (CMCC) with a major in Business & Hospitality (a.k.a Business Administration and Management). Esther provides support including transportation and any related farming errands. Esther focuses on providing a landing hand to Omasombo to ensure healthy soil, healthy crops, healthy people, and a healthy planet.
Member – David Omasombo
Meet David, the oldest son of Omasombo and Poya. David is a current student at Bates College with a focus on Business major. Aside from participating in the family farming business while playing for Bates Boys Basketball team, David provide necessary assistance to Omasombo and promoted OKCF to friends, communities, and network sponsors to further OKCF’s interest to continue feeding Mainers.
